Successfully introduced in 2007, the ‘Globus Employee of the Year’ award voted for by all the staff at Globus recognises an individual’s performance that far exceeds the call of duty and gains appreciation from colleagues.

For 2008 we saw an exciting voting climax that would not have looked out of place in the X Factor Final! The final result saw a shared victory for Andy Spencer (Warehouse) and Campbell Brown (Industrial Sales), both receiving exceptional recognition from the Globus team.

“It was fantastic to present Andy with his award during the Globus Christmas party. Recognition of the efforts to get the right product to the right customer efficiently often gets overlooked.  Andy's fantastic contribution reflects the Company's reputation for excellence in service and delivery! Andy has shown an exemplary work ethic with a cheerful attitude that raises the profile and appreciation we all have for the crucial role Logistics play.

As for Campbell, when you have been part of the Globus furniture for as long as Campbell has it can often be difficult to continually demonstrate consistent growth and achievement. 2008 was yet another hugely successful year for Campbell. Once again he delivered significant growth for his region whilst taking on additional responsibilities within the company. The ability to absorb the additional workload whilst still providing market-leading support to his customers has clearly impressed his colleagues and Campbell received his award with a surprising display of self-deprecating shock! A surprise in itself for those that know him.”
